FAQs About Sibling Camp

Have questions about camp? You’re not alone! Going to camp is so exciting, but having questions about what to expect is natural. Here are some of our most frequently asked questions from campers. We can’t wait to see you.

What types of activities will I get to do?

There are so many fun activities at camp! Some of the most popular activities are swimming, arts and crafts, and of course, campfires! We also plan special activities so every day will be different and fun!

Where will I be sleeping?

We will be sleeping in bunkhouses at Berkshire Lake Camp. Each bunkhouse is equipped with indoor toilets and showers with hot water. All campers will sleep in a cabin with campers and counselors of the same gender.

What if I feel tired?

So many fun things are happening at camp that it’s easy for anyone to feel tired. But don’t worry; you’ll have time to take a break and rest. We take short walks between activities and stop or slow down along the way if we need. Plus, we take a siesta after lunch every day. You can take this time to rest quietly in your bunk, read, or take a nap to recharge for the rest of the day. Extra breaks are always available if you want additional rest.

What if I feel homesick?

Being away from home can be tough at any age, and missing family, friends, and pets during the week is natural.  You may feel homesick during camp, and that’s totally okay! Here are some natural “cures” to camp-week homesickness that we love at Camp Casco:

  • A cheer or a laugh with your best camp friends

  • A swim in the lake

  • A climb at the ropes course

  • A hug from your favorite counselor

  • Yelling a camp song at the top of your lungs

  • A snuggle with your favorite stuffed animal

What will I eat?

Camp food is delicious, nutritious, and, best of all, kid-friendly. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served daily. We also keep lots of yummy snacks on hand for extra energy between meals. The Berkshire Lake Camp kitchen prepares all of our meals and ensures that all known dietary restrictions and allergies are accommodated. Please let us know if your child has known food allergies or dietary restrictions. Take a look at our menu for the week:
