24/7 Onsite Medical Care
Your child’s health is always in expert hands. Every camp session is supported by our dedicated Med Shed, staffed around the clock by licensed medical professionals. Whether your child needs daily medications, care for minor injuries, or a quiet space to recharge, our team is ready with compassionate care every step of the way.
Expert Oversight from Our Medical Advisory Committee
Our Medical Advisory Committee, led by Dana-Farber President Emeritus Dr. Edward Benz, is made up of some of the region’s leading pediatric oncologists and infectious disease experts.
This team reviews and updates our medical policies every year. Their expertise ensures our practices reflect the latest advancements in pediatric oncology care, giving you confidence that your child is in the best hands.

Each summer, we meet rigorous health and safety requirements to earn our license from the local board of health at all 3 of our summer camps.
In addition, Camp Casco proudly holds Gold Ribbon Accreditation from the Children’s Oncology Camping Association (COCA), recognizing our ongoing adherence to the highest standards of safety and excellence in pediatric oncology camping. This distinction is a testament to our commitment to your child’s well-being.
Mental Health Support For Every Camper
We know emotional well-being is just as important as physical health. That’s why we have volunteers onsite 24/7 who are dedicated to supporting camper mental health and providing encouragement throughout the camp session.
Whether it’s a quick chat or a listening ear, our team is here to ensure your child feels seen, heard, and supported.
Exceptional Counselors, Trusted Care
We take great care in selecting and training our camp counselors. Each counselor undergoes a rigorous application and interview process, state and nationwide background checks, and extensive training both online and onsite. Optional workshops, such as supporting camper mental health, further equip our team to create a safe and nurturing environment.
