The One Mission Day Camp: What To Expect

We know that the first The One Mission can be both exciting and nerve-racking. To help prepare you and your camper, this post will go over what to expect on the first day of camp.

But First, A Few Reminders…

  • Camp dates: July 1-5 at Dana Hall School in Wellesley, MA

  • Drop-off 9:45AM each day and pick-up at 4:45PM each day

  • *Dana Hall School is closed July 4th, and we will be hosting a Family Fun Day from 11-2 at Hale Reservation. Please RSVP here if you have not yet done so.

  • Please be sure to update your child's Health History form with any medications they will be bringing to camp. This form can be accessed through the Parent Portal. Check-in will go much faster if you update this ahead of time.

  • We ask that each child remains in the vehicle until you have checked in with our Medical Director.

What to expect at Day 1 drop-off:

  • Please see the map below for the best place to park when dropping off and picking up. You will enter the campus from Grove St. Best parking is between the Shipley Center and Equestrian Center.

  • Please do not get out of your vehicle when you arrive!

  • A Camp Casco volunteer will greet you at your car and welcome you to camp.

  • Our Medical Director will confirm any medications your child is bringing, allergies, dietary restrictions, and general care notes. We appreciate your patience during this process, and ask that your family remains in your vehicle until you have met with the Medical Director. This will make the process run more smoothly.

  • Once they have been checked in by theMedical Director, a Camp Casco counselor will bring them over to the field area where the camp fun will begin!

What to expect at pick-up:

  • When it’s time to pick up your camper, you can either park where you did at Day 1 drop-off, or you can pull forward to the front of our camp area if you don’t want to get out of your vehicle.

  • A photo ID is required to pick-up your camper.

  • If someone else needs to pick your camper, please email krystin.whitacre@campcasco.org with their name and contact information. They will need a photo ID before your camper can be released to them.

  • We have swimming right before pick-up, and getting out of the pool can take longer for some than others. If you need to pick your camper up early, please be sure to let us know ahead of time so that we can make sure they are ready!

Meals and Snacks:

A minimum of 2 snacks and 1 lunch will be provided each full day of camp. The food schedule is as follows:
