How did you learn about Camp Casco and Trail Blazers?
I learned about Trail Blazers online.
What was your experience doing Trail Blazers as a mom of a new camper?
I actually didn’t hike, but I loved being involved with the fundraising and supporting my team that did hike
What is your child most excited to experience at Overnight Camp this year?
My camper is excited to make new friends and have so much fun!
Where did you do your Trail Blazers hike, and who was on your team?
Billy Barber and his friends hiked Mt. Tecumseh.
What advice would you give to next year’s Trail Blazers? (hiking/training and/or fundraising)
Don’t worry about how much money you need to raise. Just go out there and have fun. The rest of the details will fall into place.
What does being a Trail Blazer mean to you?
Being a Trail Blazer shows our commitment to making sure these kids have the best summer camp experience ever.
How do you think this program positively impacts our campers?
Trail Blazers and Camp Casco give kids opportunities to just be kids for a week. It allows them to get away from doctor appointments and hospital visits and enjoy fun.
What would you tell someone who is thinking about signing up for next year’s Trail Blazers?
Give back! Do something for the good of someone else. Camp Casco is amazing, and without support and fundraising, their programs could never happen.
