Camp Casco creates amazing experiences that build lasting connections for children who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families. Lifelong impact grows through the magic of exceptional camps, inclusive community-building programs, and helpful resources. Through our combination of annual camps and year-round support, we provide joy, friendship, and respite for kids with cancer.
About Our Hike Programs
Each spring, we host a series of hike programs to rally our community around kids fighting cancer:
Camp Champions unites 12 elite hikers as they take on New Hampshire’s epic Presidential Traverse in just two days.
Summit Seekers unites 10 mid-level hikers as they endure a round-trip hike of Mount Washington.
Trail Blazers invites individuals and teams anywhere in the world to take on the hike of their choosing.
Each hiker is challenged to raise funds to help send more childhood cancer survivors to our free summer camps. Through months of training and fundraising, and an unforgettable hike, we create a transformational bonding experience for our hikers as we work together to improve the lives of kids fighting cancer.
Our Shared Audience
Our hikers are primarily millennials and Gen Xers based in New England. Our hike teams are typically comprised of a mix of parents of childhood cancer patients, research scientists, volunteer camp counselors, and healthcare professionals, uniting around their shared passion for the great outdoors and desire to make a real impact in childhood cancer community. Our team is highly active, spending months training for our program through frequent hikes, cardio, and strength training.
