At Camp Casco, children affected by childhood cancer come together to challenge themselves, make lifelong friends, and create amazing childhood memories. Our free annual summer camps, complete with onsite medical professionals and a nearly 1:1 camper-to-counselor ratio, provide kids an amazing week of fun and friendship, as well as an essential respite for parents.

As part of Team Camp Casco, you’ll give this empowering, uplifting experience to some truly deserving kids in 2025. Take on the iconic Boston Marathon®, the world's oldest annual marathon and one of the world's most prestigious races, to give kids surviving cancer friendship, fresh air, and FUN.

Members of Team Camp Casco 2025 will receive:

FAQ

  • Each team member is required to meet the following fundraising milestones:

    • January 1st, 2025: $4,000

    • February 1st, 2025: $6,000

    • March 1st, 2025: $8,000

    • April 11th, 2025: $10,000

    Runners will be required to meet their $4,000 milestone by January 1, 2025 In order to register for the race.

  • Applications to run for Team Camp Casco will open on 10/16/24. Spaces will be filled on a rolling basis.

    We will ask for information about you, your motivation for running for Camp Casco, your preparedness to run the marathon successfully, and how you plan to raise funds to support our mission.

    This is a huge challenge, and we are looking for runners who are deeply committed to investing plenty of time, energy, and thought into their run. We are looking for thoughtful and thorough answers that show us you’re the perfect partner for this challenge!

  • We have a very limited number of race entries. Each application is thoroughly reviewed and considered individually. Key elements in the application include reason(s) for wanting to join Camp Casco's team and your personal fundraising goal and plans. Thorough and thoughtful answers will increase your chances!

    A waitlist will also be selected. If a team member withdraws from the team by the cancellation deadline, a waitlisted runner will be invited to join the team. If you are waitlisted we encourage you to start training in December to stay on pace with the training schedule so you are ready to join the team.

  • Yes. If selected to the team, all runners will be required to pay a $375 registration fee to the B.A.A. (subject to change per the B.A.A.) by their set deadline. This payment is separate from your fundraising and does not count towards the fundraising commitment, nor is it tax-deductible. Team Camp Casco does not cover this fee. Additionally, a $100 non-refundable team fee will be required if accepted onto the team. The fee is to be paid on your personal fundraising page upon acceptance and will count towards your overall fundraising goal.

    Runners will also be responsible for providing their own lodging and transportation to and from the race.

    • October 16: Applications open

    • November 15: All applicants will be notified of their status in our 2025 program

    • January 1: $4,000 of the charity bib fundraising minimum must be reached

    • February 1: $6,000 of the charity bib fundraising minimum must be reached

    • March 1: $8,000 of the charity bib fundraising minimum must be reached

    • April 11: $10,000 of the charity bib fundraising minimum must be reached

    • April 21: Marathon Monday!

  • Applicants who have secured a qualifying or invitational bib are welcome to apply. We suggest a fundraising minimum of $2,000. Please be sure to select your intended participation type when completing your application.
