How To Set Up Your Fundraising Page
2024 Trail Blazers Team “Hikers Gone Wild”
Let’s set up your page on FundRazr! Here is a step-by-step walkthrough on how to set up your fundraising page and share why you are a Camp Casco Trail Blazer!
Log Into FundRazr
You can access your fundraising page anytime by visiting FundRazr.com and clicking “Sign In”. You can find your personal fundraising page through the user options on the top right-hand side of the page by clicking “Campaigns”.
Personalize Your Page
You can customize everything, from the title of your page and your fundraising goal to your page background and your story. The more you add your personal touches, the more your friends and family will connect with your page! Here are some ideas of ways you can make it yours:
Customize your header image or background photo to make it stand out.
Add your own story about why you’re hiking, including photos or videos to connect more directly with supporters.
Share updates, like your hike training plan, photos of you on a training hike, or milestones reached.
To get started, click "Edit" on the left-hand side, then explore the "Story" and "Picture & Video" tabs. You'll see lots of options to add your own touches.
Share Your Story
While it's automatically filled with Camp Casco's story, the section of your page called "Story" is really your place to share your personal message. Whether you add to the story or replace it with all-new content, we strongly recommend personalizing it! You can do this by going to "Edit" (on the left-hand side), then clicking "Story"
Success in online fundraising comes from the emotional appeal - when donors feel connected to you and your ‘why’ behind your decision to fundraise, they are significantly more likely to contribute. Here are some ideas to personalize your story:
What inspired you to fundraise?
What do you feel when you think about Camp Casco and our work?
Do you have a special connection with Camp Casco? Have you been to camp or know someone who has? Is there a story that goes with it?
The more you personalize, the more connected your audience will feel. Sharing meaningful tidbits over a generic link with no information will make a huge difference in your fundraising efforts.
Add Visuals
Go to Edit > Picture & Video, and you'll see options to upload a campaign video, cover picture, snapshot, and more. While you're welcome to keep the default images, we encourage you to personalize your page with any images or videos you have permission to use!
Pro Tip: Sharing a candid, 1-2 minute video of yourself sharing why you're choosing to hike is a fantastic way to drive donations, and can be used on both your FundRazr and on social media platforms.
Give Progress Updates
Updating keeps your community engaged with your campaign and can inspire further support! You can do this by clicking "View Campaign" on the left-hand side. Scroll down, and click the tab that says "Updates". Here, you can share updates to all of your supporters, to the activity feed, or both.
You can update with anything relevant to the campaign: Are you training for your hike? Take a picture afterwards and let your supporters know of your progress and how dedicated you are. Did you hit a new fundraising milestone? Are you a certain number of days away from your hike? You can also share Camp Casco’s updates from the main campaign or from our social media posts. Creativity is key!
There isn’t a hard rule on how often this should be done, however once or twice a week is a good guide.
You should not be simply asking for donations over and over again; these should be real updates with new information and content.
