Let’s Take A Hike!
Come join us on a beautiful (and easy) nature walk at Rocky Woods Reservation for Hikes For Hope and in honor of National Cancer Survivors Day. Bring the whole family and enjoy a relaxing walk in the woods with us!
About The Hike
Rocky Woods Reservation (click for Google map) is a scenic and peaceful space filled with songbirds, bullfrogs, beavers, and painted turtles. Together, we’ll take on the Red Trail, an 0.8 mile trek with unpaved trails. We’ll circle Chickering Pond and end at the Pavilion. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate survivors, connect with friends, and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.
Click on the trail map for a closer look at our route.
Things to Know
Families of pediatric cancer patients, survivors, and siblings ages 0-17 are invited to join us. There is no cost to participate, and families do not need to be registered Trail Blazers to attend. Please see our FAQ below for more information.
Coffee and pastries will be provided for all participants from 9-10 AM.
Beginning at 10 AM, we’ll start our hike on the Red Trail! Younger children or those not interested in the route are welcome to stay at the Pavilion and wait for the hikers to finish.
After the hike, we’ll return to the Pavilion for lawn games, arts & crafts, and more! Feel free to bring your own snacks and games to enjoy together.

Current and incoming eligible pediatric cancer families and registered Trail Blazers are invited to join us at this event.
Eligible pediatric cancer families live in New England and have a childhood cancer patient, survivor, or sibling under 18. Registered Trail Blazers are individuals and teams who have signed up to hike in honor of Camp Casco in 2025. Trail Blazers are also invited to join us starting at 10AM.
Spaces are limited, and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Every year, in honor of National Cancer Survivors Day, we offer a series of hike programs to help raise awareness and funds to support our camps. One of our hike programs is called Trail Blazers, which asks individuals and teams to sign up to hike anywhere they like. Some of our Trail Blazers have younger members who would prefer a family-friendly hike. Any interested Trail Blazers are welcome to join us on our family-friendly hike as space allows.
-
We have a tentative rain date for May 4th. If we have to reschedule this event, you will receive communication from Camp Casco with details for the new date.
